Communications (hint: it’s all wireless)

We will be able to communicate with staff on the island through mobile phones and the internet. We get full bars for both mobile phone operators in Nicaragua, Claro and Movistar. We will receive high-speed internet service sufficient for streaming video through a line-of-sight microwave transmitter installed on a communications tower at the port. The installation is less than $200 and the monthly service is about $100 per month. These services will allow management and guests to easily communicate with phones, Skype, email, video, etc. We’ll be able to process credit cards, monitor equipment, and, if needed, even view security camera feeds from anywhere in the world.
